Tropical Turmeric Smoothie

Bam! Wow! That’s what my taste buds and immune system said after concocting this doozy of a smoothie. I’ve known for awhile that turmeric is a great immunity booster as well as aiding digestion and reducing inflammation*, but I hadn’t figured out how to incorporate it into my diet. A smoothie seemed the perfect opportunity to try it and it worked in spades! Test it out for yourself and let me know what variations you enjoy.

Tropical Turmeric Smoothie

Ingredients (yields 24 oz)

  • 1 cup Strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen mangoes
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup honey Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup peach mango V8 juice
  • 1/2-3/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbsp chia seed
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • Optional: green tea powder
  • If using all fresh fruit, add a few ice cubes to the mix

Blend it all up and drink immediately for the best flavor and maximum vitamin absorption.

*Best to note that you should consult a doctor before introducing new supplements into your diet.
